Hi! I am Regina, but Regina is too formal for my style, so henceforth, I am Reg!

I began my athletic career as a soccer athlete, advancing from recreational soccer, then varsity soccer, to collegiate soccer, and finally semi-pro. I earned two back to back National Championships at Messiah College in Pennsylvania, 2011 and 2012; but my college experiences caused me to learn more about hard work, excellence, discipline, consistency, and integrity as a person and as an athlete. Growing up in Pennsylvania, being outdoors and playing soccer described my entire life up throughout my childhood years and into college. Directly after my senior soccer season, I ran my first Trail Ultramarathon50k, placing first in my age group. I began to dive into the world of ultramarathoning and obstacle course racing. My love for training, for mountains and nature, and my desire to find new physical limits excited me to continue to train with intense purpose. While attaining my Masters Degree in Sports Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh, I was able to compete and become a part of the elite circuit of the Spartan Obstacle Course Series. I have several top finishes and podium appearances, and some amazing experiences of courses all over the country! One incredible opportunity that I have had was that I ran a Trail Ultramarathon 50k, and a mere 7 days later, ran the Pittsburgh Marathon. It was a very fun endeavor! My love for mountains and trails, affinity for endurance events, and opportunity to pursue an Assistantship with the National Strength and Conditioning Association led me to pursue my dreams here in Colorado.

My athletic goals were put on pause due to an extensive foot surgery; however, the recovery process was a tool that has increased my awareness and ability as a Performance Running Coach, and as an athlete. Recognizing that setbacks, challenges, and adversity are unavoidable circumstances of life, I desire to encourage and relate to athletes -especially running, endurance, and obstacle course athletes. My certifications and specializations as a Master Running Coach through Revolution Running LLC and as Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association have allowed me the academic background to increase the performance of athletes who pursue racing. More than performance outcomes, I desire to increase one’s self-awareness, lifestyle choices, resilience, pursuit of excellence, and ownership of choices through the modality of evidence-based fitness training. When I personally am not strength training or hitting the trails or track, I love to climb 14ers, snowboard, and carry my sandbag (named Gertrude) to new heights!
